If I understand "line work," I agree with the praise. Am I the only one who feels something a bit severe or cold or harsh here? I'd be surprised if she were smiling or feeling romantic. She looks rather fit, and I'm guessing it's not the result of a ritzy gym but from hard work (a long-time waitress? line or farm worker?).
Lately, I've been using life drawing as a starting place for works that combine reality, imagination and experience.
