I love the markers, but I have plenty of other materials that I have tried and abandoned, some of which I have kept because I liked it well enough to think I would use it at some time and some of which I gave away.
Have you tried working with a product called Niji water brush? You fill the cartridge with ink or water color that you mix up in a separate squeeze bottle. It has a paint brush for a nib... I've yet to use it (mainly because i forgot I had it) but I think it might be great for what your doing.
Lately, I've been using life drawing as a starting place for works that combine reality, imagination and experience.

An aristocratic profile artfully done. I must get some new Tombow Markers; mine keep drying up--from neglect.
ReplyDeleteGreat Portrait. Like the varying thickness of line.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda and Anthony.
