  2. Like Hannah, Jaime doesn't look overjoyed. But, she does seem content whereas Hannah looked stressed-out a bit.
JS, are these models asked to pose with a certain expression or is their attitude, "What you see is what you get, creative genius!"

  3. I agree, stromg. This one and the one below both have such a strong presence. So much of your work has this quality.

  4. Thanks, all.

CO, I've never heard someone direct a model's expression at a figure session. Remember, these models are posing nude for figure drawing groups; they've got enough stress. They're concentrating on keeping their bodies as still as possible in whatever pose they're in; facial expression is not something they usually focus on. But I agree, Jamie was relaxed in her posing, and she kept her face unusually alert and relaxed, too.

  5. I like her hair and the length of her neck.

  6. the division of the space is a strong choice. Also keeping the figure dark adds to the contrast. Wish I could say I did this. Brava

  7. I really love this charcoal work. Somehow, the absence of color deepens the characters and creates an aura of intimacy. And again, the feeling of introspection you create in your work is, I think, quite revealing of your character. Certainly not every artist working with this pose would, or could, take us this far inside.
