Little Boy at the Bakery (iPad Sketch)

Drawn from life, last week.  At the French Bakery in Bellevue, Washington.

He was in constant motion.  Not so good for drawing, but fun to watch.

Sketch Club app.

  1. I love this -- it's a drinking fountain, isn't it? Apropos to nothing at all, I've lived in Bellevue and in Portland.

  3. This feels French, and like he's expecting something sweet.

  4. Interesting!!! For some odd reason...this made me think of Miro...no logical reason at all!!!

  5. AH, I see the water fountain too.

What that swirl came from was the start of my drawing in the boy's mama.

  6. Katherine, I don't think a French child would be allowed to stand on a chair.

This was the cutest little boy, in constant motion.

The sweet he got was a surprise: his father showed up with a bag of cherries.

  7. I see it too, Chieftess. I wasn't thinking of Miro when I scribbled this, just trying to catch a little bit of this child's charm.

  8. AH, I love Portland and would love to live there.

It was my first visit to Bellevue and it was brief. All I did there was walk a couple of miles, so didn't learn that much, other than that the downtown is flossy and newish.

  10. Thanks, Li. You should check out the app. It is easy to use, even starting out, like I am.
