  3. Your moody colors and loose drawing is superb. It's your signature.

  5. You have showed her with so much drama, so much pain. I wonder if your model feels the same?

  6. K, I have gotten wrapped up in this limited and rather sad palette. Some of it is change of season.

  7. Anthony, thanks.

This drawing doesn't look like the model, though it does capture the turn of her head.

  8. Sus trabajos, Jean, tienen una enorme fuerza expresiva, casi perturbadora, diría yo. Unos trabajos envidiables...
    Mil Felicitaciones.

  9. I like L.W.'s words, "moody" and "loose." I knew the "sad" and "wistful" in my mind didn't quite pin it down.

  10. Banjo, I think it may be time to start painting again. The weather is changing and it may be possible to keep the windows open enough.

  11. I first saw this as calm and relaxed but after reading the other comments, I can see it shift to sadness. I guess I'm too impressionable or maybe the portrait is alive, with changing moods. It almost feels that way.

  12. I also see calm when I look at this. I can see where her downward gaze might conjure sadness.
