Drawn yesterday, from life.

Tombow markers and pastel on 12"x16" pastel paper.

  1. Like chiselled stone, the weight of the figure wedges into the earthy softness of the cushion.

    Monumental.

  4. Do you happen to know a Michigan sculptor named Pamela Stump Walsh? (She'd be around 70+ now--hope she's still with us). This reminds a LOT of some bronzes of hers. Very nice.

  5. Thanks, BANJO52 (does this mean there are at least 52 other BANJOs or is your birth year?)

I didn't know of Walsh until your comment. She sounds like she was a fabulous teacher and artist.
