  2. Jean, you were meant to work with color.

Is there a way you can reboot the last image (pink figure)? It won't enlarge and there's an area I want to look at more closely (in the lower right hand corner) I'm liking that swashbuckling slash of chalk. When I look at your work I take into account the texture of the paper, the line work and what not coming through

  3. WM, thank you. Wonder what color Wednesday will be.

PA, I see that it won't and I don't know why. I'll delete it and re-post it; that should help.

  4. when I first opened this, only the bottom half of the pink showed up, and I thought it was a portrait of a goat standing on his head. Need another cuppa.

Love that pink and charcoal together.

  6. AH, after a fair amount of squinting . . . ta da! I see the goat. Probably means I could use some coffee too.

Pierre, thank you. Get out that box of whatever--in this case pastels--and mark away. Just don't forget the values (in the color theory sense) that you already know so well from drawing black on white.

  7. I think you have a gift for angles and shadow. This guy, I hope he sees what you did for him.

  8. Paula, thanks. I don't know that he'll see it. As far as I know, he wasn't checking out the drawings during breaks.

  9. These are so well rendered. I love the combination of colors in the pink and blue portrait. The legs in the bottom piece are so well composed and well drawn. Nice!

  10. PAMO, thank you. With the bottom one, I deliberately moved myself to that angle, playing with perspective.
