I love your fly walking all over the surface style. it's inspiring me and showing my how up tight I am when it comes to these heads. So glad you're back. --These drawings have me reconsidering using watercolor papers, markers (if they haven't dried up?
I'm seeing a blend of Kurt Vonnegut and Hal Holbrook as Mark Twain--guys I've never put together before, but why not. Social satire, humor, good yarns. I'd also never have thought of red and blue for a "head shot," but I like the drama of it.
Linda, I am glad this is making you want to try the markers with watercolor paper. The only caution I would give you is that exposure to a lot of direct sunlight will fade the finished product.
Lately, I've been using life drawing as a starting place for works that combine reality, imagination and experience.
