Drawn from life, January 13.

Tombow markers, water and brush on about 8" x 8" watercolor paper.

  1. Well, black is the color of winter. And purple because of background hangings.

You would think white because of the snow, but everyone wears black or dark neutral outerwear and the snow fairly quickly turns gray or black as it gets driven on, trod on.

More generally, often has to do with colors of that I see on my way to the studio, blues or greens in the lake or trees or sky.

  2. Love the energy and the drama. This image moves on the page.

  3. Twain-Vonnegut returns in purple! I like the drama.

  4. Yes, Banjo.

This is the first sketch I did of him. Much less Vonnegut-like, I think.
