More play, more content. Like the red line work on the left and the bold line work on the right. It's really gutsy. I think you must be having a break through. Good good good
I looked up DUX. Never heard of it. Now that I know where the distributors are, I'm not surprised (La Jolla, West Lake, Palm Desert, Newport Beach, West Hollywood)
Paula, thanks. These are photographed by me in natural light, no flash--a little frustrating because I have to wait for the light to be okay.
Shanna, thanks. Of course I was thinking of you when I drew the clouds. I'm loving Austin, and there sure are a lot of clouds-- a lot of weather, period.
Yes, two more winners. Woman Wrapped in Blue and Woman in Violet seem more intense to me, but today's woman in the clouds is interesting in her floatiness.
Lately, I've been using life drawing as a starting place for works that combine reality, imagination and experience.

Lovely - the clouds have a wonderful silky-soft quality.

ReplyDeleteI love the Woman in Violet, and also the Young Man Dozing from a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the violet woman. Lot's of emotion there.
ReplyDeleteLove the cloud one. Love how it plays with our ideas of color and shape.
ReplyDeleteUltimate DUX bed.
ReplyDeleteThanks, all.
ReplyDeleteAH, I'm smiling.

ReplyDeleteJean, how do you display your work for your posts, are these simply photographs? If so, they look beautifully balanced.
ReplyDeleteJean, these are really looking terrific!!!
ReplyDeleteAustin must agree with you...Wish I were there.
PA, I had to look up DUX, too.
