Reclining Woman

Drawn Wednesday morning, from life.

Pastel and charcoal on 12"x16" black pastel paper.

This is the second pose from Wednesday morning.  I like the attitude of thought in this pose.

She's of one mind and body and I think your choice of colors reflects that.

I wasn't thinking it, but as soon as I saw what Paula said I totally agreed. Well done.

Wonderful! It's probably my age, but I like that her body isn't perfect. She feels real.

I can just stare and stare at this. The rock hard look of cushions or blankets in the foreground. The body is soft in the middle, but hold its form, it does not melt.

The only way I could like this better is if it were titled, "Reclining Woman with Canine."

Nice strong drawing. Great color. It interesting that you combined a relaxed pose with such vibrancy and strong delineation. I like the play.

Thanks, all.

Cafe, you are quite right. We could use a canine around here.
