Pastel and charcoal on 12"x16" black pastel paper.
This is the second pose from Wednesday morning. I like the attitude of thought in this pose.

She's of one mind and body and I think your choice of colors reflects that.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't thinking it, but as soon as I saw what Paula said I totally agreed. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI thrice Paula
ReplyDeleteWonderful! It's probably my age, but I like that her body isn't perfect. She feels real.
ReplyDeleteI can just stare and stare at this. The rock hard look of cushions or blankets in the foreground. The body is soft in the middle, but hold its form, it does not melt.
ReplyDeleteThe only way I could like this better is if it were titled, "Reclining Woman with Canine."
ReplyDeleteExcellent work, Jean!
ReplyDeleteis perfect; congrats!
charcoal and pastel
combine VERY WELL!
I loved it!!
Nice strong drawing. Great color. It interesting that you combined a relaxed pose with such vibrancy and strong delineation. I like the play.
ReplyDeletewonderful composition, and the lighting is beautifully done. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, all.
ReplyDeleteCafe, you are quite right. We could use a canine around here.
