Godiva Reclining

Drawn this morning, from life.

Pastel and charcoal on 12"x16" black pastel paper.

The model for this drawing has extremely long hair, which she has never cut.

I luv your titles, JS! But in this case I wood've entitled it, Lady Godiva Off Her Horse!

Thanks, Cafe.

It's re-titled. All I could think of were Rapunzel and Medusa, neither of which was right. Thanks for the quick fix: I like Godiva.

She looks surreal. I always love neutral tones. Beautiful.

Ha! I felt the presence of William Blake in the character of Ophilia

The pose may be soft, but your drawing is strong and well composed.

Everyday. (Jawdropping)

Thank you.

Thanks, Pamo. Neutral seemed to fit this ornate design.

PA, William Blake is definitely an influence, here.

Mostly, I was thinking about art nouveau sculptures and designs.

AH, personally, I'm leg-obsessed now, too.

Laura and L.W., thank you both.

PI, thank you.

You look dashing in your mustache.
