Interesting presentation and as always well done figures. Why do artists' models always have such droopy boobs? Volume, of course. Rubens lives in figurative drawing workshops, not at the corner Starbucks. I once had a skinny male model, there wasn't much one could do with him. It was Giacometti Day.
Lately, I've been using life drawing as a starting place for works that combine reality, imagination and experience.

ReplyDeletebeautiful figure drawing Jean..I particularly like the heads..
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me how much you are able to convey with a few lines.I also like how you superimposed one on top of the other.
ReplyDeleteThe volumes are well marked; strength and expression. I like a lot!

ReplyDeleteLimited paper can lead to surprising solutions.
I think this was the first time I did a picture on a picture of the same pose from different vantage points.
Thanks, Li.

ReplyDeleteAnd the same, from me to you, about your work.

ReplyDeleteI think the warmth was emanating from the model.
Thanks, Mari Jose.
ReplyDeleteLots of times, having just one piece of paper makes things more interesting.
Pensive lady in both. I slightly prefer the bottom one.
ReplyDeleteMe too, I like the composition in the inset.
