  4. Pagnol; a character from Manon of the Spring, perhaps.

  5. A change of pace for you? Or is it just the change to a male? I don't know Pagnol, but I was thinking Dostoevsky.

  9. Thanks and happy new year to all.

This is a sketch of one of the Palette and Chisel artists. He calls himself "an old Jew from Minsk."

You can take the man out of Minsk, but you can't take . . . .

I had to look up Pagnol, but then some of his stuff was familiar.

  11. Now he makes me think of Leonardo da Vinci!!! I once drew/copied one of da Vinci's self portraits for practice when I was in college...

  12. Thanks, Chieftess.

This made me think of DaVinci too, but in slightly different way.

He would practice types of features repeatedly and this kind of reminds me of some of that drawing. Older man, stronger nose.
