  2. I'm trying not to throw out knee-jerk blandishments, but I swear I'm liking each one better, day by day. "Woman Sleeping" seems like a new color combination and therefore new mood, a new, lively perspective on sleep. I like it.

  3. It's interesting, the differing effect the darkness surrounding each figure has on them.

  4. Like how you used unexpected color in the first figure. That fuchsia against yellow; gross and gorgeous at the same time. The second figure has me ascending for breath.

btw: looks like you got one of the better seats up front

  5. I feel the relaxation in the first. Maybe Bach. And in the second, for such a moon bath, I'd go with this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpgyTl8yqbw

  6. Thanks, NC and Banjo. Banjo, I visit a fair number of art blogs; many times my honest reaction is simply "beautiful" or "lovely."

Paula, yes, I'm having more fun with the black of the paper.

PA, I got lucky. Fewer people showed up. What luxury! "Gross and gorgeous"--I love it.

AH, you are accute and spookily on wavelength. The model really did sink into the pillows and let gravity take her for the first pose, and that piece (pavane opus 50)is music my husband and I played at our wedding. Perfect for "Moonbath".

  7. AH, I meant "acute" and "accurate". And by played, I mean we had a guitarist play it.

  8. Wow, isn't that fun? Just goes to show how much you pack into your paintings.

  9. Yes, I definitely feel a change in the seasons. Is it just me? Am I crazy?
