I opened this version in another tab so I could compare the two versions and was wondering if you had darkened this one overall. I like this painting so very much and I'll be interested to see tomorrow's photo.
Maybe the colors aren't true here, but I like them. Interesting blend of vitality and calm. For me, there's ambiguity in the foreground--shoreline rocks? or human female, from rear, right buttock sloping down to right calf?
Lately, I've been using life drawing as a starting place for works that combine reality, imagination and experience.

Hello Jean, your memory of this gorgeous view is lovely indeed :-)
ReplyDeleteNice work Jean. Me gusta de tu obra, especialmente, los rojos y azules y la contundència que das a los desnudos.
ReplyDeleteFelicidades
Thank you, Evelin.
ReplyDeleteHi, Cynthia and thank you.
Blanco, me gusta su trabajo también. Gracias.
Now, you see, this just totally has a different type of energy-- more languid, more subdued. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteMargaret, the painting's actually pretty lively and bright in person.
ReplyDeleteThe photo is subdued. I'll try to photograph again tomorrow and see if I can get a truer color match up.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Paula.
Thanks, Banjo. And if you really want to go cross-eyed, take another look at the horizon, mountain-scape. Also ambiguous.
