I love markers and pastels. They go hand in hand. These are great Jean. I was particularly awed by your choice of papers and of course, the small format considering how grand your drawing style is.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda.
ReplyDeleteThe small format is not my natural choice, but it makes traveling with art supplies easy. And it makes drawing really fast very easy, just because there's so much less space to cover.
They have the appearance of sculpture, especially the first.
ReplyDeleteSeated brown is once more a beautifully striking and dramatic piece. The shadows draw me in!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anthony. Great description.
ReplyDeleteThanks, minnemie. I love the drama of this piece.
Ciao Jane,
ReplyDeleteyour woman are very strong, as the first one.
Is difficult to imagine a man to give orders to a woman like she...and this is a good thing...
The second one is less strong but her world is like a dream.
Ciao, ciao, Floriana
Ciao, Floriana. I'm with you on this. I like the strength.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is just so very fine, J. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteFloriana is so right about the strength. I see that a lot in your work, and I really like that sense of self possession.
ReplyDeleteYou make it seem so easy...gorgeous both of them !
ReplyDeleteThanks, Paula and Margaret and Jane.
ReplyDeleteToday I've been painting, using the top sketch for part of my composition. I like the strength and the diagonal.
Thank you, MG.
