Reclining Woman Holding Leg; Seated Woman Holding Leg; Woman Turning Away

 Drawn yesterday morning, from life.

These are pastel and charcoal on 9"x12" sanded paper

My left leg has been hurting, and yesterday, it was hurting a lot.  Today, it feels like it's healing.  The top drawing encapsulates how I felt yesterday morning.

Also,  I was heavily influenced by the art nouveau posters I've been looking at lately in connection with Loie Fuller.

    My leg is better today.

Okay, PA. That's seriously the pits.

I'll do my best with the sympathetic magic. The next hand, wrist and arm will be for you.

  9. Hi Jean, these drawings are lovely. I especially like the seated woman holding her leg. My own emotions come out as I view your drawings.

  13. I hate to be a follower, but the middle one is my favorite today. I'm not sure I've made my peace with red as her color, but the design of her seems precisely right, including her facial expression.

  14. Thanks, Banjo.

I tend to think of the drawings that are predominantly red as ones that you'll like best, so it's interesting that the color is the thing you like least about this one.

Maybe it's more accurate to think of the red ones as the drawings that will capture your attention, good or bad, most.
