  1. Composition is great. You will eventually push me out the door early Saturday morning for a studio life drawing experience--or even a proper class. You do inspire. I have missed those hours of life drawing.

  4. Yes, "realism" was the first word that hit me. Here is a (probably) working woman who's been around and isn't interested in romanticizing or idealizing anything, including herself. Am I reading too much between the lines?

    Thanks, Jane. I did make this drawing into a celebration of curve and line, exaggerating form. I think it's beautiful, though not a representation of conventional commercial beauty.

    Banjo, you are reading into this, which is not too much, it is exactly what art does, encourage you to see something, tell yourself a story.
