  1. Drawing from life is definitely the way to go. This and your last sleeping woman are very moving. I hope all was well with her, but I have a feeling, it wasn't. The drawings have a melancholy feel to them. You have such a good hand. I could have used your on hand advice yesterday.

  2. You are right, on both points. Life wins over photo, when I have a choice. And this woman looks like she is in a lot of pain. That was probably more what I brought to the drawing, than what the model brought.

    Anyone who draws regularly will have days when they are hurting and drawing despite the pain.
